1 Bedroom • 1 Bathroom 1 Bath • Sleeps 1-4This classic schoolhouse was built in 1934. It still has that vintage charm, and we have filled the apartments with turn of the century inspired furniture and decor, yet adding modern conveniences. Many of the items date back to its use as a elementary school. Our goal is to make it as warm, welcoming, and comfortable as possible. We have a pool, full gymnasium with sports equipment, workout area with a Peloton (bring your own cycling shoes), free weights, and ping pong. There is a fire pit, big lawn, and fort area for the kids to play on.
There is one queen bed, and we have a roll away bed and the couches are very comfortable if you don't mind sleeping on a couch. Max capacity is 4 people, including kids.

Cons:
- Old HVAC system that has a mind of its own
- 2nd story requires stair climbing
- Vintage school has old bricks/flooring/plaster - it's not pristine and new looking, which is part of its charm
- Furniture is vintage and antique with dings and flaws - so please be nice to it
- Bats, if you are scared of bats (they won't get into contact with you)
- Various wildlife like skunks, insects, frogs
- Owner has parrots and dogs which will make noise
- You may run into other guests or the owners in the common areas of the hallways, gym, pool, yard and landings
- Upstairs apartment couch is down filled - so it may trigger allergies

About the Owner
Mark grew up in this area, and when we found this vintage school for sale, we had to buy it. It lured us with its solidly built romantic charms. Now we hope to share it with other people who will appreciate its well built and warm nature. Natasha has run a yarn business for over a decade, so now we are hoping to have crafting retreats in the schoolhouse, along with rental guests.Location

Our school was built in 1934, and we aim to keep its vintage feel by filling it with antique furniture and accessories. A lot of the interior decorations came with the school! Enjoy our old books and maps, and be kind to the old building. She has cracks and a patina due to her age. Feel free to draw on our chalkboards, play games and ping pong in the gym, and swim in the pool! Spend some time running around the fort and outside area.
Massillon is a historic community next to lakes, a bike trail along the river, lots of antiques and crafts, and convenient to all the amenities in Akron, Canton, and Cleveland. We are a slice of rural right next to the city. Massillon also has a terrific rec center that you can inexpensively visit for the day if you would like an Olympic sized pool, a track, and weight room, plus yoga classes, spin classes, aerobics, and cardio machines.
